AC's 4 Sunrise
For the episode of the same name in the first season of the Aquablade Chronicles, see Sunrise (episode).

Aquablade Chronicles 4: Sunrise, also simply known as Sunrise, is the fourth season of the Aquablade Chronicles series. It was revealed on December 1, 2017, but its trailer had been uploaded as an unlisted video since June 27, 2017. The first episode was released on January 4, 2020. Currently, there is a significant time gap between episode 8 and 9, the latter of which is still not released. PiptinasAdventures helped with the story. SuperSonicGX and CreatorPsydoomX created sprites for the series.

Setting[]

Taking place 10 years after the events of "To End a World", it revolves around the disconnection of the sprite world from external servers and the loss of the sun, forcing everybody underground to Core City due to the decreasing temperatures caused by the removal of the sun. The characters found in the first three seasons change appearance noticeably, as foreshadowed by the sprites changing into different silhouettes at the end of Aquablade Chronicles: Omen. The series jumps between the sprite world and Zukanov. The series also takes 10 years after the events of Zukanov. Since the events of that series, Lyron's goal seems to have succeeded to an extent, as the nations are far more united then they were. They seem to heavily follow the events of the Zukanov Epilogue, though there are a few contradictions such as Lorimae not being a pacifist and the lack of ice tribe members. It is unknown if the epilogue was partly false or if these events happen in the future.

Plot[]

After ten years of the sun not being in existence, Professor Kyle Fenton of the sprite world, now referred to by its people as Kruxor, has built a portal to another sprite world, which he hopes is Inferis. However, this turns out to be the land of Zukanov. The Elite Four visit Zukanov to ask if they can migrate. This meeting is overheard by Lorimae who is very interested in learning the history of Zukanov, and pays close attention to the people in Kruxor due to them knowing far more about their world. While Zukanov is deciding, a mysterious portal appears that summons Abominations to attack. The portal matches the one Fenton made, so out of fear Zukanov says no, at least for the time being. After learning about this threat, while DVL and Doombringer want to help, Flare Hawk eventually convinces The Elite Four and all of Kruxor to invade Zukanov, so they can live in a world with a sun. A few people in Kruxor oppose this, and DVL and Fenton attempt to prevent the invasion, and end up going to Zukanov. Crimson Scythe chases them inside, and Fenton instructed Kelly and Katie to lock the portal before doing this, so no one can get between the two worlds besides Fenton. During their time in Zukanov they begin to notice the world is very similar to Kruxor, and use all the information they have to try and find Inferis. While this is happening, in Kruxor many people try to find the portal password, but fail. After following a Jezeroan citizen who is fascinated by Lorimae named Dynsai, they investigate if Inudatopolis could have the portal to Inferis. On this search they are interrupted by a mysterious cloaked person who is the creator of the Abomination portals, and threatens to destroy Kruxor's sun if they do not stop their quest for Inferis. They fight him, and he claims in a few hours it will be destroyed. They look at Melzor's Book and learn Inferis is connected to the Belt of Infinity. Dynsai recognizes this symbol, and they find it. The cloaked person visits Kruxor and offers to teleport its inhabitants to Zukanov so they can conduct the invasion. Doombringer refuses, but the cloaked person taunts him saying they will ask other members of Kruxor.
